Batangas Food Festival 2018: A Taste of Real Batangas!

Hello, mga kabano!

I was invited to the Batangas Food Festival this year and I can honestly say that I fell in love with Batangas more! I didn’t know there was a Batangas Food Festival until I was invited and I was so happy to have come and get acquainted more with their cuisine!

We stayed at Matabungkay Beach Hotel, had good food, talked with good people and had the best view of the ocean! It was a weekend well spent and I hope to go back soon!

And since it’s a food festival, food was the highlight of the entire thing. They served Rodrigo’s roast, calderetang kambing, crispy adobong manok sa barako, ginataang bangus belly, sinaing na dulong, among others, but my favorite would have to be their ensaladang Batangas featuring bagoong Balayan! It was so good I just had to take home my own bagoong Balayan!

Batangas Food Festival does not only want to promote its local dishes that can clearly compete with other cuisines on a global stage, but they are also highlighting their fresh ingredients while educating people on their rich culture.

my face after trying out bagoong Balayan hahaha!

I also got to visit how bagoong and bibingka is made, but check out these photos and my vlog for more!
