Delicious Filipino Picadillo with Banana Recipe | Filipino Cooking With Chris Urbano

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • ½ cup tomatoes, chopped
  • ½ kilo ground beef
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup potatoes, diced
  • 1 ½ cup beef broth
  • 2 pcs bay leaf
  • ¼ cup fish sauce
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • ¼ cup green peas
  • 12 pcs hard boiled quail eggs
  • 50 grams banana chips
  • To Taste salt and pepper
Procedure
  1. In a shallow frypan, heat the oil and sauté the garlic, onion, and tomatoes until fragrant. Add in the ground beef and cook until brown.
  2. Add in the tomato paste, bay leaf, and potatoes and carrots. Pour in the water and fish sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the green peas, and quail eggs and simmer it for another 5 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to get desired taste. Serve it hot with cooked rice. Garnish with a little onion leeks or parsley if you have some on hand.
